Ecommerce platform Jumia has made another change in its leadership staff.
Today, the company’s Kenya arm will be led by a new CEO, Juan Seco.
He takes over from Betty Mwangi, who joined the company at the end of 2021. Her tenure has seen her serve the company for under nine months.
A statement from Jumia reveals that Betty will be pursuing other interests.
Seco has been with Jumia for more than seven years. He joined Jumia Kenya back in 2015 as CFO.
Two years later, he got a job upgrade to COO for JumiaPay. He served the role for three years before becoming a Senior Vice President for JumiaPay.
Prior to joining Jumia, Seco worked at Dexia, and audit firms PwC and KPMG.
His wealth of experience spans more than two decades.
Seco is also an alumnus of McGill University, where he undertook a course in Commerce.
Jumia Kenya, nor Betty Mwangi, have not revealed the next working station for the outgoing CEO.
